Bespoke closet cabinetry by Lefèvre Interiors

As summer holidays are finished and everything is going back to normal, the employees in our workshop are busy preparing and finishing clients’ projects.

I would love to share with you today one of our latest projects we are working on : a bespoke wardrobe closet created from highly durable french oak.

After having discussed the design with our clients, I tried to collect some images for my inspiration (I am sorry to not know the source of them), before starting the design plans of the cabinetry.

The Pottery Art of Hilde De Bruyn

When I discovered the beautiful work of the Belgian artist Hilde De Bruyn, I was smitten!!

Already more than forty years Hilde De Bruyn mainly manufactures handmade, solid, functional and decorative objects in stoneware.

Next to the art of turning clay, Hilde is even creating porcelain pottery.

All vases, plates, teapots, tableware etc. stand out through their shape and simplicity.

Hilde took part in several Belgian exhibitions.

Her work is on display and for sale in her own atelier and shop ‘Den Stenen Pot’.

Let us take a look at some of Hilde’s beautiful creations.

Ideas to decorate your mantel

One of the most popular items to hang above the mantel are mirrors. But today I won’t show you mantels with mirrors, I wanted to show you some other great ideas to fix up your mantel.

A fireplace creates an instant focal point in a room and that is why it is important to choose the right decorative items.

A modern painting as here!

Notice the colours of the painting that match the stained wooden cabinets, the leather chairs and coffee table. I love the look of this living room!

Add personality and style by adding a few more pieces as Michael S Smith has done here. And instead of hanging a mirror above the mantel, he places the mirror next to the chimney.

I just love the way Vicky Archer has decorated her mantel! All these candlelights give her living room an enchanting atmosphere.

Or the way Bobby McAlpine did. Placing a map.

And this simple but gorgeous mantel doesn’t ask for a lot of decoration.
